What Clients Say About Me
My story
I was born in Rhodesia (Zimbabwe) and moved to SA in the late 70’s. I grew up in a small rural village, Ixopo, KZN.
After matriculating from The Wykeham Collegiate School in Pietermaritzburg, I moved to Durban where I studied Public Relations, Marketing, Business Skills and Computers. I continually update my skills now with various courses on the internet and attend as many business, marketing and motivational seminars as possible.
I have lived and lectured in SA and London at private business colleges. I have also been the Principal of a Durban Business College and the Manager of the KZN Business Training Centre.
For the last 14 years, I have been a dedicated Marketing Consultant and PR Manager and head up the charity division at Rodel Finance.
I am an ambivert (which means I am both introvert and extrovert), and I am continually searching for ways of enriching my life and the lives of those around me.
My superpower is my ability to speak in public. I love making people laugh and uplifting the spirits of those who need it (my nickname is Sunshine Sam).
I am organised, reliable and endeavour to provide my clients with peace of mind. I always get their input as part of my prep process, so I know what part they need me to play in order to make their event a huge success. I am well connected and have many ideas on venues, gifting, photographers, sound systems and event planning.
My passion is spending time at a local Baby House where I am a permanent volunteer – caring for abandoned babies until they find their forever homes.
I sit on several committees and charity boards. I love Durban’s local charity “The Robin Hood Foundation” and try to support them and others whenever I can. I am a member of Toastmasters (Speakeasy Toastmasters Club – Durban) which has helped me grow my speaking career and leadership skills.
